Born and raised on the Eastside of Jacksonville, Florida,
Mrs. Yvonne C. Walker was shaped by the values of hard work and community devotion instilled in her by her parents, Henry and Georgetta Wilson. Alongside her three sisters and brother, she learned early on that life’s greatest calling is service—a mission she later championed as a dedicated minister’s wife
to Reverend Alfred B. Walker, Sr.
Mrs. Walker lived by a simple yet profound motto:
"Be a blessing to others." Even during her courageous 30-year battle with Lupus, her spirit of generosity never wavered. She poured these values into her son, Alfred “AJ” Walker, Jr., ensuring her legacy of kindness would endure.
This foundation was established to honor her memory, celebrate her resilience, and continue her lifelong commitment to uplifting the community she loved.
